Certified Color Analysis, Explained
A friendly, no-jargon breakdown of the method, the seasons, and what to expect at your appointment.
The Simple Version
Every person has an undertone — a subtle warmth or coolness beneath the skin — along with a natural level of contrast between skin, hair, and eyes. Personal color analysis identifies those two things, then matches them to a family of colors that enhances your natural coloring rather than competing with it.
The result is a personalized palette: dozens of specific, wearable shades that make your skin look clear and healthy, your eyes brighter, and your whole look more polished — often without changing anything else.
During your session, we hold a sequence of fabric drapes up to your face, under neutral lighting, and observe how each one affects your complexion in real time. Some colors will visibly lift and brighten you; others will flatten or wash you out. It's a genuinely fun, "aha"-filled process — most clients are amazed at how obvious the difference becomes once they see it.
The Four Palettes
Every client falls into one of four seasonal color families, each with its own undertone, depth, and saturation.
Warm, clear, and bright. Think golden peach, coral, and warm grass green.
Cool, soft, and muted. Think dusty rose, soft lavender, and powder blue.
Warm, rich, and earthy. Think rust, olive, mustard, and deep camel.
Cool, deep, and high-contrast. Think true red, icy blue, and emerald.
